Paola started Out & About Dog Walking Services Inc. as an extension of her volunteer work helping find homes for dogs in need. “Wouldn’t it be cool to spend the day with dogs and make money?” was the inspiration for starting her own dog walking service. In December 2000 with a flyer in a local Second Cup she acquired her first client – Shayna, a Sealyham terrier. By 2004 the demand for Paola’s services became more than she alone could handle. Sooo, Out & About became a wife & husband team. What started off as a way to make some extra money has become a full time (and then some!) career.
Two reasons.
First, Out & About was conceived solely as a dog walking business. Like any business we have responded to our clients needs that, over time, have led us to add several other services including boarding, grooming, food pick-up and delivery, poop n’ scoop and pet taxi. A name change was important to represent all of our services. As we have grown in to the business, we have grown up. When we envisaged our identity we knew it had to affirm the fact that this isn’t something we do on the side. Dogs are our business and we have dedicated our lives to our business.
